Day 1- Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi and meet the SITA representative at the arrival
hall and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon proceed on
a tour of the capital city. The important places in Old
Delhi includes the majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni
Chowk, besides Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. In New Delhi, visit
the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence
of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised
in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan
war; the Laxminarayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of
India’s leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built
by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; and the lotus-shaped
Baha’i Temple
Day 2- In Delhi
Morning visit the National Museum - Among the collections
are 5,000-year-old relics of the Indus Valley civilization,
varied exotic paintings, old manuscripts and mural paintings
from Buddhist shrines in Central Asia; National Gallery
OF Modern Art - Exhibits works of modern Indian artists;
Crafts Museum - A delightful open-air museum, with Indian
craftsmen at work. Also visit National Rail Museum - Here
original engines and bogies are parked. Visit Gandhi Smriti
Museum which contains books and personal possessions of
the Mahatma.
Day 3- To Varanasi
Intime transfer to airport to board flight for Varanasi-
the oldest city in India. Arrive Varanasi and transfer to
hotel visiting enroute Sarnath, an important Buddhist pilgrimage
point.
Day 4- To Khajuraho
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges. The long string
of ghats - the chain of stone steps - along the western
bank of the Ganges forms the major attraction of Varanasi.
Later visit The Vishwanath Temple, built by the Birlas,
was planned by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. The Bharat Mata
Temple houses, instead of gods and goddesses, a huge relief
map in marble of the whole of Indian subcontinent and Tibetan
plateau. The Tulsi Manas Temple, built in 1964, is dedicated
to Lord Rama. Intime transfer to airport to board flight
for Khajuraho. Arrive Khajuraho and transfer to hotel
Day 5- To Agra
Morning sightseeing tour of Khajuraho.. The largest temple
is Kandariya mahodeo, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Later transfer
to airport to board flight for Agra. Arrive Agra and transfer
to hotel. Later visit Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort),
which retains the irregular outline of the demolished mud-wall
fort of the Lodis.. The Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula is located
in a walled garden overlooking the Yamuna. Akbar’s tomb
at Sikandra, located in a large walled garden on the road
to Delhi.
Day 6- In Agra
In the Morning visit the Government Museum located in Mathura,
which has an extensive collection of sculptures, terracotta’s,
bronzes and coins, 5th Century standing Buddha and numerous
Gupta period figures. In the afternoon you will return back
to Agra to visit The Taj Mahal, which is entirely made of
white marble and its walls are decorated with exquisite
pietra dura (stone inlay) work.
Day 7- To Jaipur
Early morning drive to Jaipur visit enroute Fatehpur Sikri,
an abandoned city that was hardly ever inhabited on account
of shortage of water. Also stop at Bharatpur bird sanctuary
where you can enjoy a cycle rickshaw to see birds in their
natural habitat. Arrive Jaipur and check – in at hotel.

Day 8- In Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amber Fort, situated just outside the
city. You can have the unique experience of traveling on
elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the
fort is situated. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur including,
City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend
of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Not far away is the
Central Museum with its large collection of woodwork. Another
monument near the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, is the largest
of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The
Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the
royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being
seen
Day 9- To Jodhpur
Intime transfer to airport to board flight for Jodhpur.
Arrive Jodhpur and transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing
tour of Jodhpur visiting the 5 km long majestic Mehrangarh
fort situated on 125 m high hill, one of the most impressive
and formidable structures; Jaswant Thada, a memorial built
in pure white marble for the exclusive use of the Royal
family, as a crematorium; Umaid Bhawan in rose colored sandstone;
Mandore Gardens, once the old capital of Marwar.
Day 10- To Udaipur
Morning drive to Udaipur visiting Ranakpur enroute, for
the famous Jain temples dedicated to Adinath. Arrive Udaipur
and check – in at hotel. Day free to enjoy the view from
your hotel or you may take a walking tour on your own through
the narrow lanes and back streets of Udaipur
Day 11- In Udaipur
Morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur including Fatehsagar
lake, built by Maharana Fateh Singh in 1754 A.D. Also visit
the Jagdish Temple, the largest and most venerated temple
of Udaipur; Sahelion-Ki-Bari”, consisting of an ornamental
pool with delicately carved chhatries of black and white
marble and soft stone. Late afternoon enjoy a boat-ride
on Lake Pichola visiting many Ghats (banks) of washing,
bathing etc and enjoy excellent views of the Lake Palace
and City Palace.
Day 12- To Mumbai
Intime transfer to airport to board flight for Mumbai. Arrive
Mumbai and transfer to hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour
of Mumbai including The Gateway of India is the main attraction
of Mumbai city. The Mani Bhawan or the Gandhi memorial was
once used to be the residence of Mahatma Gandhi in Mumbai.
Considered as one of the best museums in the country, Also
known as Queen’s Neckless, Marine Drive. Juhu is a 5-km-long
beach that attracts a large number of visitors on any day
of the week. Also visit gardens like the Hanging Garden
and the Kamla Nehru Garden and Chowpatty gives you the view
of one of the most happening beaches of Mumbai
Day 13- To Chennai
Morning visit various Museums in city. Visit Prince of Wales
Museum situated near the Gateway of India, it was designed
in the Indo- Saracenic style to commemorate the King’s first
visit to India ; Victoria and Albert museum built in the
Greco-Roman style and housing archaeological finds, maps
and photographs depicting the history of Mumbai; Nehru Museum/
Planetarium, which has a Children’s Science Park and a permanent
Gallery. Later transfer to airport to board flight for Chennai.
Arrive Chennai and transfer to hotel.
Day 14- In Chennai
Morning sightseeing tour of Chennai including Marina Beach,
the second longest beach in the world. The St. George Fort,
built in 1653, is currently used as the state government’s
secretariat. Santhome Cathedral was built around 14th/15th
century and is another colonial structure worth visiting.
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Kapaleeshwar Temple is the
oldest temple in Chennai. Another important temple in the
city dedicated to Lord Krishna is Parthsarthy Temple. The
Snake Park has a large collection of snakes and many other
reptiles.
Day 15- To Hyderabad
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Hyderabad.
Arrive Hyderabad and transfer to hotel. Afternoon City sightseeing
tour. Including The Charminar occupies the centre of the
city and dominates its landscape. The Hussain Sagar is a
large tank whose blue water provides a pleasant backdrop
to the city’s landscape. Salar Jung Museum is one of the
best-known museums in India where you can find private collections
of the Nizams..
Day 16- To Kolkata
Morning excursion to Golconda Fort, Hyderabad’s finest and
oldest specimen of its glory. It is an acoustical wonder.
Later drive to the airport to board flight for Kolkata.
Arrive Kolkata and transfer to hotel. Later sightseeing
tour of Kolkata visiting Indian Museum, which is India’s
first and oldest museum. Also visit Academy Of Fine Arts,
Victoria Memorial For Art Of The Raj Period.; Center of
International Modern Art
Day 17- Leave Kolkata
You will be accompanied by a SITA representative to airport
